Elsyca's R&D activities in the field of corrosion and corrosion prevention are mainly directed towards mechanistic modeling of AC induced corrosion of buried structures, internal / external corrosion of off-shore structures, and galvanic corrosion of part assemblies under atmospheric conditions (thin film corrosion). The research efforts of Elsyca within the mCBEEs Project on pitting corrosion are a logical extension of the pre-existing efforts with respect to galvanic thin film corrosion.
