Eva Pellicer

PhD

Dr. Pellicer's current research interests include the electrodeposition of porous materials, mostly metallic alloys, in different configurations (films, nanowires, nanoparticles) and the exploitation of their magnetic and electrocatalytic properties. Different porosities are sometimes targeted (macro, meso and nano) simultaneously, aimed at maximizing the surface-to-volume ratio of the materials in two applications. On the one hand, Dr. Pellicer explores their performance toward hydrogen evolution reaction in either alkaline or acidic media. On the other hand, she is also interested in disclosing eventual magnetoelectric effects in these materials using an electrolyte-gating approach.
