Sabrina Patricia Rosoiu
PhD Student

I recently started my position as an Early Stage Research Fellow at the Center for Surface Science and Nanotechnology-University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest, Romania. Regarding my background, I hold a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in chemistry with honours from University of Zaragoza, Spain. mCBEEs is an amazing network with interesting projects and I’m very excited to be part of it because this program gives me the opportunity to do research in a relevant field such as electronics. My project focuses on the development and characterization of multifunctional coatings for electronic applications.

Career Details
PhD Student at the Center for Surface Science and Nanotechnology (CSSNT)
July 2018 – Present
I’m working on the development of new binary and ternary alloys coatings with greater durability and less corrosion susceptibility compared to traditional ones. These coatings will be obtained by electrodeposition from aqueous electrolytes and a new class of solvents so-called ´deep eutectic solvents (DES) ´ which represents a green alternative.
Master in Chemistry, University of Zaragoza, Spain
October 2016-June 2017
Extraordinary Final Master’s Award
During my Master Degree I have been working on material synthesis and characterization. I have developed skills in advanced characterization techniques such as nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) or scanning electron microscopy (SEM).
Bachelor in Chemistry, University of Zaragoza, Spain
September 2012-July 2016
Extraordinary degree award
During my Bachelor’s thesis I have been working on chemical synthesis of imidazolium salts which can be used as solvents in electrochemical depositions. My thesis was funded with a scholarship and I worked in inert atmosphere (for example, argon, nitrogen) using a Schlenk line and a glove box system.
