Mustafa Ürgen

 Mustafa Ürgen is working as a full time professor at Istanbul Technical University, Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering. He has been actively involved in teaching and R&D studies on Surface Technologies and corrosion protection. Prof. Ürgen has directed several government and industry-sponsored projects and represents Turkey in EAST. His current research is focused on the production and characterization of nano-composite coatings for improving wear behaviour under boundary lubrication, electrolytic surface treatments, nano patterning of surfaces and methods for producing large area electroactive electrodes. He is one of the authors of 5 issued and 4 pending patents.
